Traits
Non-Mammalian Ears (Non-Mammalian)
Ears of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve!
Non-mammalian Pupil (Non-Mammalian)
Pupils of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve!
Non-Mammalian Mouth (Non-Mammalian)
Muzzles and Mouths of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve!
Non-Mammalian "Whiskers" (Non-Mammalian)
Genekits with this trait have whisker-like growths that are not whiskers in the same way you would see them on mammals. These are more akin to fish barbels or rictal bristles found on birds.
Non-Mammalian Tongue (Non-Mammalian)
Tongues of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve! Frog, snake and lizard tongues (among others) all fit into this category
Non-Mammalian Teeth (Non-Mammalian)
Teeth of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve! Things like snake and shark teeth fall into this category
Non-Mammalian Nose (Non-Mammalian)
Noses of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve!
Non-Mammalian Tail (Non-Mammalian)
Tails of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve!
Non-Mammalian Feet (Non-Mammalian)
Feet of non-mammalian creatures are a bit harder for Genekits to learn, as the anatomy can be quite unfamiliar. But with practice, this is definitely a look a Genekit can achieve!
Antennae (Non-Mammalian)
Genekits with this trait have antennae similar to those of bugs and crustaceans. These feelers come in all kinds of shapes and sizes.
Chitin or Plating (Non-Mammalian)
Genekits with Chitin or Plating have armour- or shell-like plates protruding from their bodies, similar to the carapace of some invertibrates (beetles/crabs/shrimp) or animals like armadillos. These plates have clear beginnings and ends.
Luminescence (Non-Mammalian)
Luminescent Genekits have learned how to make their bodies glow! This can be parts of their bodies, or their entire body could glow in the dark like a glowstick. This trait is similar to the luminescence found in certain fish and invertebrates. Some Genekits are able to control when they glow, others are not able to control it and glow all the time or with strong emotions.
Iridescence (Non-Mammalian)
Genekits with this trait have learned to turn either part of themselves, or all of themselves iridescent! Iridescent Genekits (or at least the parts of them affected by this trait) will slowly change colour depending on the angle you are viewing them and the lighting at the time. This effect is similar to the effect of some beetles, birds, reptiles and fish. This change in colour is not something they can control, as it is based on how the light interacts with them
Feathers (Non-Mammalian)
Genekits with this trait have learned how to grow feathers! These feathers can be individuals, in patches, or can cover the entirety of the Genkits body (replacing their fur). These feathers are always in a natural shape, similar to those of a bird.
*If a Genekit has feathered wings, they would need both the feather and wing traits
Scales (Non-Mammalian)
Genekits with this trait have learned how to grow scales! These scales can be a smattering of individual scales, patches, or can cover the entirety of the Genkits body (replacing their fur). These scales are always in a natural shape, similar to those of a reptile or fish.
