“Just sign it… Don’t worry about all of the fluff and nitty gritty… That’s just all of the silly legal jargon, you must understand.” Midas practically purred, his beady golden eyes locked on the kit on the chair, the whispers of youth still evident in their form.
“Are you sure.. My father said that I should really read these kinds of things before I sign them…” The kit replied, though his lack of confidence was evident to anyone with a remotely discerning eye.
“Ah, a cautious man, your father…” Midas hummed, running a claw thoughtfully along the back of the chair the other kit was sat on. “Paranoid perhaps, though I can understand why… Plenty of charlatans and miscreants in this world.”
“Yes… Quite.” It was barely audible, nervous.
“I am certain you would never accuse me of such a thing, or waste my time combing through this rather lengthy document. I am not sure I’d be particularly willing to work with someone who thought so badly of me after all.” Midas drew back, levelling a glare in his direction.
The kit gulped, “Of course not…” and reluctantly, with shaking paw, signed their name at the bottom of the page.
Midas’ lips curled into a satisfied grin.
Midas is about as opposite to his sibling Sovann as you can possibly get. Sleazy and slick, Midas will rob you of everything you have in the blink of an eye and feel no remorse. Yet somehow, he is the one to run the most prominent bank in Safirea. While untrustworthy, Midas is also a businessman at heart - he won’t screw you over without reason. As long as your deal is the one to make him the most money, you can rest assured your deal is safe. Just… make sure you read any contract you sign with him very carefully first.
