TW: parent death
The worst time in Rolan’s life was when his father passed away. His father had been old and unwell, and it wasn’t a surprise when he passed, but it still hit Rolan like an arrow through the chest. A poisoned one at that. His father had always been his biggest supporter, and had encouraged Rolan throughout his life. Considering Rolan’s father had been his only parent his entire life, it was a hole that could not be filled by anyone else. He had to be there for his siblings of course. They had been adopted and pulled out of a horrible world, and then had a second family ripped out from under them. Rolan was devastated but had to pull himself together as best as he could to try and support them. No matter how grief stricken he was, he was going to look after them as best as he could. It was challenging, and a gruelling few months, but Rolan was able to get through it and keep his siblings okay, helping them become fully fledged adults, much like him. He knows that they now understand what an awful time this was for him and are grateful for what he did for them during this time.
