Marianne is mostly devoid of fear. There is so little in this world that scares her. She has faced down enormous creatures, tricky foes, unfathomable things and the most evil beings you could think of. Throughout all of this Marianne has remained stone faced and brave. There is, however, one thing that she fears. It is the thing that haunts her nightmares, though these are rare. Even though it is impossible, Marianne is terrified of her father returning from the grave. She is happy in her life, helping her kingdom and content, yet she has done exactly the opposite of what her father wanted. Despite everything, she thinks he would probably feel let down by her. She knows that he has done horrible things, and that ultimately he left the kingdom worse off, but she struggles to reconcile that with the father that she knew. He had so many aspirations for her, and was so proud of everything that she had managed to achieve in the time that he was alive. He was always her biggest cheerleader, but she has now ended up the kind of person that he used to hate… Despite everything he did, Marianne isn’t sure that she could manage his disappointment…
