Surprisingly, the traits Ignatius currently has are not ones he intentionally chose for himself, morseso they are leftover consequences from his experimentation on the science side of transformation, not the magical aspect. When he was born he was just like any other kit with all standard mammal traits, and despite being a prodigy with magic able to transform himself into many different shapes with his own innate skill, he would much rather try out potions and concoctions and mechanisms to see what sort of effect they'll have. And that's what makes him the distinctive man he is today. Everything from the bird feet to the missing tail with exposed bone, reptile nose and missing arm and eye, it was all the result of some very questionable experiments done to himself. He loves his traits though, despite not having picked them out he wears them as badges of honor, representative of his accomplishments and failings in equal measure. He's excited at the prospect of even more wacky traits being bestowed upon him, but he'll just have to wait and see when and how it'll happen in the lab. He's thinking about messing with insect and anthropods next, sounds like a fun avenue to pursue. Maybe something will blow up and he'll develop pincers or a stinger or 4 extra plated legs, who knows.
