Animals of all kinds are always part of his experimentation, though not as pets. Iggy takes them to try and replicate their unique features within his potions and concoctions, scales and tails and gills and wings and forked tongues and everything in between. There's a constant cycle of unique creatures brought to him by either himself or by Atlas and Moggie who assist him with his ventures (as long has he doesn't harm the animals which he doesn't outside of a needle prick or two for scientific purposes). There are so many he goes through he never formed a bond with any of them, and honestly he's not sure he's capable of bonding with a creature like that. The closest thing he has to a 'pet' would be chipmunk in his yard that has hung around scavenging for tosses of fruits or veggies Iggy throws out there when he's done eating breakfast or taking samples from them for some kind of hypothesis. They never really interact outside of Iggy observing it's there, Iggy is much more focused and busy working on his testing, but he will admit he does get a small sense of comfort from the little guy always hanging around and appearing when a piece of apple is tossed his way.
