Dealer's Dice

These golden dice glint temptingly under your gaze. Dare you risk a deal with the malevolent Midas, in the hope that you will reap the benefits? Roll the dice, but remember, every deal is final!
To use this item, send in a claim with this item and the genekit/MYO slot you would like to use it on. Our rollers will then roll for your genekit's new completely random trait, which will be added to their trait list. This trait is tied to the specific genekit/MYO slot it was rolled for. Like any deal with Midas, it is a gamble - there are no refunds or redos if you don't like the trait that is rolled. However, you do have the option to not utilize the rolled trait by using the Doc's Magic Eraser item.
Traits are rolled 1-100:

- 1 - 50: mammalian
- 51 - 75: non-mammalian
- 76 - 90 : unique
- 91-97: minor fabled or minor affliction
- 98 - 100: major fabled or major affliction
Once a rarity bracket is rolled, a trait within that bracket will be randomly assigned. For example, with a 62 you could roll a non-mammalian tail (leopard gecko), or a non-mammalian muzzle (toucan beak). This new trait will override whatever trait is in this slot, if any. For example, if you rolled a 62 and got a non-mammalian tail (leopard gecko), but your genekit already had a unique tail trait, that unique tail trait would be replaced with the new non-mammalian tail.
While you are deciding whether to use this newly obtained trait or not, your genekit will be marked with the "Update pending" Tag trait. Genekits with this Tag trait are not able to be used in prompt submissions or breedings. To have this Tag removed, the Genekit's reference will either have to be updated with the new traits, or you will have to follow the steps to use a Doc's Magic Eraser

Doc's Magic Eraser
Category: Healer's Items
If removing all pending Dealer's Dice traits:
Submit a claim with this item and the Genekit/MYO slot that had the Dealer's Dice item used on it. Each Magic Eraser will only remove one pending Dealer's Dice trait, so ensure there are enough Magic Erasers to cover all the pending traits
Once your claim is processed, the pending traits will be removed from your Genekit/MYO slot's trait list, as will the "Update Pending" Tag trait. Your genekit will then be free to be used in prompts or breedings again
If removing some but not all pending dealer's dice traits:
When you go to update your Genekits reference with the Dealer's Dice traits you wish to keep, attach enough Magic Erasers to cover the traits you d not wish to keep. When updating the reference, all pending traits must be accounted for, by either removing them with the Eraser, or adding them to the reference.
Once your reference update is processed, the "Update Pending" Tag trait will be removed from your Genekit/MYO slot's trait list. Your genekit will then be free to be used in prompts or breedings again
