In the season of love it is tradition for Kits to come together to express their affection for one another in all its facets: of parents for their children, of close friends to one another, and of course for romantic couples. Love comes in many forms and is celebrated by all who have fondness for another! However among the festivities of gift giving, chocolate eating, and secret kisses a few Kits are missing.
This one stands off to the side with a placid look upon their face, their dark striped coat blending into the shadows, watching the showings of affection with disinterest at best, and contempt at worst. "What a useless holiday." they murmur to themselves. "Don't they know that love doesn't last? How it's so easily broken?" A flitter of a memory passes them by, one once so sweet but now grown bitter, and they dig their glistening blue claws into the dirt as the mouth on their tail curls into a gleeful sneer. Never again they vowed. Never again would they fall pray to something as foolish and useless as 'love'. "Let them all have their fun... they'll learn their mistake soon enough."
With that they turn their backs on the festivities and skulk into the shadows, leaving nothing of their presence behind but a few drops of blue tears and blood.
